Privacy Policy

X Post Downloader does not ask you to create an account and does not store the videos you download.

What we process

• The post link you submit, so we can look up its video. We do not keep a history of the links you enter.
• Standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• If analytics are turned on, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.

Download history

The "Recent downloads" list (up to 20 posts: thumbnail, author, post date and link) is stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never sent to us. Use Clear history on the home page, or clear your browser data, to remove it.

Advertising, cookies and your consent

To keep the site free, we may show banner and native ads from our advertising partner, Adsterra (adsterra.com). We only use standard banner and native ad units. We never use pop-unders, redirects or ads that look like download buttons, and ads are kept apart from the download buttons.

When an ad loads, Adsterra and the advertisers it works with may set cookies or use similar technology on your device to deliver ads, limit how often you see them, measure performance and prevent fraud. Their use of data is covered by Adsterra's own privacy policy.

• Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: no ad code loads until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, no ads load at all. Under Manage you can turn advertising cookies on or off.
• Visitors elsewhere: ads are shown by default. Use the Ad choices link in the footer or this page to learn more; you can also block cookies in your browser settings.
• Essential storage: we save your choice in your browser's local storage for 12 months so we don't ask again. You can change it any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

We use your approximate country, which Cloudflare works out from your connection, only to decide whether to ask for consent. It is not stored.

Third parties

To find a video, we contact X's public servers and, as a backup, the public FxTwitter service. Video files stream from X's servers through our site to you.
